Internal Family Systems
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a psychotherapy approach that sees a person’s mind as made up of multiple “parts,” each with its own thoughts, feelings, and roles. Some parts protect us, while others carry pain or past wounds. At the center is the Self, a calm and compassionate core that can lead and heal. IFS therapy helps people understand and harmonize these parts, allowing the Self to guide the internal system, reduce inner conflict, and promote emotional well-being.
