Antisocial Personality
Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD) is defined as a pervasive pattern of disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others, typically beginning in childhood or early adolescence and continuing into adulthood. According to the DSM-5-TR standards utilized by ACA members, this diagnosis requires the individual to be at least 18 years old and provide evidence of Conduct Disorder before the age of 15. The disorder is characterized by a persistent failure to conform to social norms, impulsivity, deceitfulness, and a marked lack of remorse or empathy regarding the mistreatment of others.
