Anger Management
Anger Management is defined as a therapeutic process and set of interventions designed to help individuals recognize their triggers and develop healthy, constructive ways to express frustration. The American Counseling Association (ACA) views this not as the suppression of anger—which is a natural human emotion—but as the development of emotional regulation and self-control. This process typically involves a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), physiological relaxation techniques, and communication training. The goal is to reduce both the emotional feelings and the physiological arousal that anger causes, enabling the client to respond to stressors with problem-solving strategies rather than aggression or withdrawal.
