Developmental Disorders
Developmental Disorders—specifically Neurodevelopmental Disorders—as a group of conditions that typically manifest early in development, often before a child enters grade school. These disorders are characterized by developmental deficits that produce impairments in personal, social, academic, or occupational functioning. Rather than being "acquired" later in life through trauma, these conditions are rooted in the brain's growth and maturation process, affecting how an individual perceives and interacts with the world across their lifespan.
