Obsessive Compulsive (OCD)
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a chronic mental health condition characterized by a cycle of obsessions and compulsions. Obsessions are defined as persistent, intrusive, and unwanted thoughts, urges, or images that cause significant anxiety. Compulsions are the repetitive behaviors or mental acts (like handwashing or counting) that an individual feels driven to perform in an attempt to neutralize that anxiety or prevent a feared event, even though these actions are often not realistically connected to the threat.
