Sports Performance
Sports Performance is defined as the application of psychological principles and counseling techniques to enhance an athlete’s mental game, physical execution, and overall well-being. Rather than focusing solely on physical "stats," the American Counseling Association (ACA) and related bodies view it as a holistic intersection of mental health and athletic output. It involves optimizing cognitive processes—such as focus, emotional regulation, and resilience—to ensure that a performer can consistently access their peak physical abilities while maintaining a healthy life balance.
