Hi! I’m Karen Yanez. I’ve spent my career supporting teens and adults as they navigate life’s challenges, whether it’s coping with anxiety, depression, grief, or major life transitions. I aim to provide a safe, compassionate space where clients can gain clarity, process emotions, and build strategies to move forward with confidence.
I also work with individuals and families dealing with stress, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, and peer-related issues. By creating an open and supportive environment, I help clients explore their experiences, rebuild resilience, and strengthen connections with themselves and others.
My counseling style integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic approaches, and Somatic practices. This combination allows us to focus on practical tools for managing thoughts and emotions while also honoring each client’s unique story. Together, we develop coping skills, enhance self-awareness, and create meaningful strategies for growth and well-being.
I work with teens (13–19) and adults (20–64), offering support in a way that respects your values and beliefs, including those informed by Christianity.
